Built by a small group of like-minded people with extensive radio experience — for Bude, by Bude.
Bude 789 Radio is a new independent community radio station serving Bude and the surrounding area in North Cornwall. We're being developed by a small group of like-minded people with extensive radio experience, and we're building something that belongs to the community — not to one personality.
Our sound is simple: the best from the 70s, 80s & 90s by day, local music by night. Great music, great presenters, and a bit of Bude — upbeat, familiar and highly listenable through the daytime, then a genuine platform for Cornwall's musicians, bands and emerging talent every evening.

Our ambition
From online to DAB
Bude 789 will initially broadcast online, with the long-term ambition of applying for and participating in small-scale DAB when appropriate. Our ambition is to grow Bude 789 from an online community station into a locally available DAB service, subject to the appropriate licensing and infrastructure.
We have not yet obtained a DAB licence — we're building the foundations first.
